There are lots of activities for everyone, with something for each interest and age.
Information about First Friday ...
When is it?
The First Friday event will be held at Capital Baptist Church in our gym and children area.
Where is it?
Capital Kids First Friday is based at the campus of Capital Baptist Church in Annandale, Virginia off of Gallows Road. We're just a short distance from the beltway and Inova Hospital.
Who directs it?
First Friday is presented by Capital Baptist Church, our Children's Director and our church families.
How long is First Friday?
Our First Friday is from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
Who can come?
Attendance at Capital Kids First Friday is open to all kids from all backgrounds. Please remember that Capital Kids First Friday is a Christian led activity that will include biblical principles. Participation in the First Friday event is a privilege, not a right. In order to participate in the First Friday event, children must be able to successfully function in the large-group community setting. While all children make mistakes while growing up, for the safety of other attending children we cannot accommodate children who cannot or will not properly relate to authority, who fail to show respect for equipment, the facility, and for other children, or will not submit themselves to First Friday rules and policies.
What about eating?
The First Friday event will include food for all attending that have registered. If you did not register we will provide food based on the remaining availability after feeding all families that did register for the specific First Friday event.
Here are some of the things you'll need to know to make your First Friday experience a great one! Everything is important, so be sure to read it all!
When you arrive ... when you leave
First Friday begins at 6:00pm and ends at 9:00pm. This is a family event and we encourage parents / guardians to attend with your children. For families that wish to drop off children for a Parents Night Out you will be required to bring the children into the facility for registration -- we will not accept children who enter the building alone.
Please enter the First Friday event at the door on the lower level of our Education Building marked with an "Entry" sign. Never leave your open car unattended and park in a marked parking spot.
When you arrive, sign in your family and children at the check-in desk.
Parents must sign out their children prior to leaving for the evening.
Typical Schedule
Our First Friday schedule may vary but there is a general schedule we usually follow. We may alter the schedule based on numbers attending. Here is a typical evening at First Friday:
6:00pm Arrival and Check-in Begins
6:00 - 6:30pm Arrival and Fellowship
6:30 - 7:00pm Food Provided
7:00 - 8:00pm Session 1
8:00 - 9:00pm Session 2
9:00pm Clean-up

When you leave the First Friday event
A parent or someone the parent has authorized must personally come in to sign children under the age of 18 out. We will not allow children under the age of 18 to leave on their own.
